What is kept in your browser
The site uses your browser's storage only for features you ask for. Nothing is written until you use the feature concerned.
| Storage | Content | When | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
localStorage: hublex.theme | Theme choice (light or dark) | When you choose a theme | Until you clear it or go back to the system theme |
localStorage: hublex.licence | Licence token | After unlocking | Until you clear it; the licence expires after 12 months |
localStorage: hublex.pref | Preference token for Avlex's registry | After unlocking | Until you clear it |
| The tab's history | A mark showing that an unlock has just succeeded, with no personal data | When you return from the confirmation link | As long as that history entry exists |
Browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) | Firm profile (letterhead, logo) and saved presets | After unlocking, only when you save them | Until you delete them |
The data you enter in a calculation stays in your browser. It is not sent to any server.
Why there is no consent banner
Article 10/2 of the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data transposes Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive). It requires your consent to store information on your device or to access it. There is an exception where the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested.
Every item in the table falls under that exception: it is only created when you use the feature concerned, and it serves only that feature. The theme choice saved at your request falls under it too (Article 29 Working Party, Opinion 04/2012 on Cookie Consent Exemption). Nothing is stored for analytics or advertising. No banner is therefore needed. This page tells you what is kept.
How to clear this data
- On the site: the E-mail preferences page lets you remove the licence from this browser.
- In your browser: open the site information (the icon to the left of the address) and delete the site data, or clear this site's browsing data in the settings.
- In the developer tools: the Application panel (Chrome, Edge) or Storage panel (Firefox), then Clear site data.
Clearing the site data removes your licence, your firm profile and your presets. To use the firm features again, you will need to confirm your e-mail address again.
