About Hublex
Free procedure tools for lawyers in Belgium, published openly by Avlex.
Updated on 4 October 2026
What Hublex is
Hublex brings together free procedure tools for lawyers in Belgium:
- the procedural deadline calculator (Judicial Code, Articles 48 to 57) and limitation periods;
- the judicial calendar, with public holidays and the judicial vacation, and the conclusion calendar (Article 747);
- the client cost estimate, the procedural indemnity, court fees and the interest calculator;
- the appeal deadline before the Council for Alien Law Litigation (CCE/RvV) and the family reunification income check;
- wage garnishment and bailiff costs;
- the conclusions check, the language of proceedings and the competent court.
Each tool is published once its sources have been verified.
Who it is for
Hublex is made for lawyers practising in Belgium, and for the people who work with them. The tools are not designed for members of the public: they assume that you know which rule applies to the case and that you can check the result.
Our principles
- Every step with its article. Every result shows its calculation steps and the article behind each one.
- A source and a date for every rule. Every rule and every constant (rate, amount, tariff) shows its legal source and the date on which it was verified.
- Case data stays in your browser. The dates, amounts and options you enter are never sent to a server.
- Free results and exports. Results, calculation steps and every export (PDF, DOCX, ICS, CSV) are free, with no account.
- A verified address, no marketing consent. A verified e-mail address, free of charge, unlocks the firm features: your firm's letterhead on every export, batch calculations, presets, calendars and fee profile saved in your browser, and the annual judicial calendar PDF. Marketing consent is never required for this.
How the rules are verified
Every rule and every constant is checked against its primary source: the Judicial Code (via Justel), the Belgian Official Gazette (Moniteur belge), and the official pages of the courts and of the Federal Public Services (FPS). The date of that check is shown with the rule.
A Belgian lawyer reviews the tools after they are published. Once that lawyer has reviewed a tool, they are named on that tool's page.
Rules change. When a law, a decree or a tariff changes, we update the tool, and its verification date changes with it.
Report a problem
Every tool has a "Report a problem" form. A wrong date, a changed amount, a rule that has changed: Avlex's support team reads every report. The form attaches the dates, amounts and options of the calculation, never names. See the privacy notice.
Who publishes Hublex
Hublex is published openly by Avlex Belgium SRL, a company based in Brussels. Avlex is legal AI for Belgian lawyers: avlex.be.
The Hublex tools work without an account and without the Avlex platform. When you unlock, you can agree, separately for each topic, to receive alerts, news from Avlex or a call presenting its platform. These boxes are never pre-ticked, and unlocking depends on none of them. This is how Avlex becomes known to the lawyers who want to hear from it.
Avlex also publishes other tools: see Other tools by Avlex.
Disclaimer
Hublex is a tool to assist lawyers. The lawyer remains responsible for the calculation and for checking the applicable rule. The tools do not give legal advice.
